How long have you been in business?
RCB Industries was established in 1983.
What is your primary product or service?
We install Cat 6 & 5e and fiber optic cable for computer networks & phone systems. We install coaxial and video cable, and we install Public Address systems, intercoms & door access control cable, wireless access points & demarcation extensions. We trouble shoot fiber optic & copper cabling problems. We perform moves, adds and changes to existing computer & phone & PA systems.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I first started in this industry installing phone systems, and when computer networks expanded from main frame to Local Area Networks (LANs) it was a natural transition to support those systems as well. BICSI membership has been maintained since 1991 and we have had a Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD) on staff since 1993.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Company ownership and management consists of people that have extensive technical backgrounds who are also experienced technicians. Therefore we have complete knowledge of all aspects of this industry and can support our customers and installation staff in ways that typical managers are not capable of. Our customers receive the best possible system design and installation.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have locations in Lebanon, Tennessee and Clawson, Michigan. We currently have no active plans to open another office.

We dispatch our installers directly to the customer site on a daily basis from our offices in Lebanon, TN and Clawson, MI.

Richard Brown is the President and share holder, Barbara Brown manages the Clawson office and Gary Moore manages the Lebanon office.
What are your hours of operation?
Our typical work day for the field technicians starts at 7:00 AM and ends at 3:30 PM. Our offices are open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We support installation activities 24/7/365 as needed - based on our customer requirements.
